Due to the world-wide introduction of the stepping HDR source based personalized treatment planning and dose-volume optimization procedure in Head and Neck brachytherapy practice, the GEC-ESTRO Head and Neck Working Group published in 2017 an update [2] of the previously (2009) published treatment recommendations [3].
