Bilharzial periportal fibrosis-CT

In periportal fibrosis, the the portal tracts, in which portal vein is situated , contain much fibrous tissue which appears echogenic in ultrasound and hypodense in CT as in this case. Caroli disease is cystic dilatation of biliary tracts which passes in portal vein branches in portal tracts .
