Instagram for Radiology Education
Sounds very difficult to comprehend, we all associate Instagram with sharing our fun moments and friends. However, Education and up-skilling  is innate need of medical students and quizzing is great way to connect and learn while on IG. I used Hashtag #DRSUMERVIEWBOX to enable easy following of the radlearning quizzes and learning points by me.  I believe intelligent use of social media can go miles in creating learning for medical students.Direct Link - https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/drsumerviewbox/Famous Radiology Blog http://www.sumerdoc.blogspot.com TeleRad Providers at www.teleradpro...

Black Turbinate Sign: Mucormycosis
India is witnessing an increased number of cases of mucormycosis and this MRI sign is useful for radiologists to diagnose this condition on MRI. Black turbinate sign means non-enhancement of nasal turbinates in a patient with acute invasive fungal rhinosinusitis. Angioinvasive fungal infection (e.g. mucormycosis) involves the nasal mucosa and causes infarction of surrounding tissue. The infarcted tissue is non-enhancing on CEMR giving rise to this appearance.Famous Radiology Blog http://www.sumerdoc.blogspot.com TeleRad Providers at www.teleradproviders.com Mail us at sales@teleradproviders.com (Source: Sumer's Radiology Site)

This is patient had a cardiac arrest and this is the MRI brain, DWI images. Hiatal Hernia CXR
CXR may depict larger hiatal hernias as an opacity in the posterior mediastinum, often containing air or an air-fluid level. On the frontal view, it causes widening of the inferior third of the azygoesophageal recess and can produce a double contour behind the cardiac silhouette.  This is case where hiatal hernia was suspected on CXR and confirmed on CT.Famous Radiology Blog http://www.sumerdoc.blogspot.com TeleRad Providers at www.teleradproviders.com Mail us at sales@teleradproviders.com (Source: Sumer's Radiology Site)
