Corporatization: Radiology ’s Burning Platform

Few topics in our field incite the degree of emotional catharsis as “corporatization.” Regardless of an individual’s opinions, biases, and viewpoints, this topic provokes edgy exchanges, strong stances, and accelerated angst. It seems almost certain that the recent influx of publicly traded money and private equity invested in national radiology companies will more readily influence how our profession organizes and functions than many of the other topics that we spend extensive time discussing, such as artificial intelligence and national health policy development.
