A summary of the NHS operational planning and contracting guidance 2020/21

Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee - The NHS long term plan was published in January 2019 and sets out the implementation and intended outcomes of services to be delivered by 2023/24, via a long-term revenue settlement from the government. The NHS long term plan committed to an increase in spending of £4.5 billion in real terms on primary medical and community health services by 2023/24. At the end of January 2020, NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE&I) published the NHS operational planning and contracting guidance 2020/21, which will help to take the NHS long term plan into its second year.
