Every clinical rheumatologist has encountered a woman who wishes to have a pregnancy - or who presents already pregnant - and who values the importance of reliable information on rheumatic diseases and safety of medications in pregnancy. This chapter summarises current evidence and knowledge on the use of “Medications in pregnancy and breastfeeding in women with rheumatic diseases” and considers paternal medication use at the time of conception.
