Intramural ectopic pregnancy following pelvic adhesion: case report and literature review
ConclusionNon-specific clinical presentation and non-uniform ultrasound criteria pose a challenge for us to make timely and accurate management. Integrated radiological examinations and communication and cooperation between sonographers and gynecologists play a vital role in diagnostic accuracy and selecting the optimal therapeutic method of an intramural pregnancy.
Conclusion Although rare, borderline ovarian tumors can be diagnosed in an adolescent during pregnancy. The combination of specific sonographic assessment and minimally invasive conservative surgery appears as a very effective approach in this type of patient. Abstract PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to investigate the association of clinical, laboratory, and ultrasound findings with the surgical diagnosis of adnexal torsion in a retrospective cohort of women operated for suspected torsion during pregnancy. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A multicenter retrospective study of pregnant women who underwent urgent laparoscopy for suspected adnexal torsion during 2004-2019 in three tertiary medical centers. RESULTS: Adnexal torsion was found in 143/208 (68.8 %) cases. Women with adnexal torsion had lower parity and lower rates of previous cesarean sec...
Conclusion: Combined with the results of current systematic review and meta-analysis through subgroup analysis and sensitivity analysis, we can be cautious: in general, compared with CC, LE is an effective treatment in the IUI cycle, has a likelihood to improve dominant follicles and reduces the miscarriage rate.
ConclusionsOur study reveals promising improvement of premature ovarian failure –related clinical manifestations in two patients after intraovarian autologous bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells engraftment. These early observations call for additional assessment and further development of intraovarian bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cell injection for possibl e treatment of patients with premature ovarian failure.
This study included 676 women with symptomatic uterine fibroids who wished to become pregnant underwent USgHIFU or LM at three hospitals in China from 1 May 2009 to 31 May 2018. The related information of pregnancy and delivery were followed up and analyzed using the chi-square test and two-sided Student t-test.Results: The median follow-up duration was 5 (1-8) years; 20 patients (2.9%) were lost to follow-up. 320 patients were treated with UsgHIFU, and 336 were treated with LM. Two hundred nineteen (68.4%) women became pregnant after USgHIFU ablation, and 224 (66.7%) became pregnant after LM. Four hundred forty-three pati...
The objective of this study is to investigate the practicality of using ultrasound data to predict low EFI (score ≤6).
Authors: Senarath S, Ades A, Nanayakkara P Abstract Most adnexal masses are benign, incidental findings of pregnancy which resolve spontaneously. They may present clinically due to haemorrhage, rupture, torsion and mass effect. Aetiological classification includes ovarian benign, ovarian malignant, non-ovarian, gynaecological, non-ovarian non-gynaecological and an additional subset of pathologies unique to pregnancy. Ultrasound is the first-line imaging modality for the evaluation of adnexal masses. This may be supplemented with magnetic resonance imaging. Tumour markers support evaluation of malignant potential, b...
A 30-year-old nulliparous woman presented with light vaginal bleeding, right lower abdominal pain and tenderness, without peritonism. Serum beta human chorionic gonadotrophin (B-hCG) was static at 720-730 IU/mL over 48 hours and the uterus appeared empty on transvaginal ultrasound. Diagnostic laparoscopy was recommended over medical management due to ongoing pain.

Conclusion: HIFU showed a safe and effective profile as a therapeutic management option for patients with adenomyosis. In comparison with LE, HIFU treatment achieved better postoperative reproductive outcomes. HIFU treatment should be encouraged and implemented in clinical practice.
