Urinary incontinence (UI) is commonly described as a condition involving involuntary loss of urine [1]. There are two main types: 1) stress urinary incontinence (SUI), in which involuntary urinary leakage occurs on physical effort; and 2) urge urinary incontinence (UUI), in which involuntary loss of urine is associated with urgency. Mixed urinary incontinence (MUI) designates the combination of SUI and UUI [1,2].
