Content Validity for the Stages of Actual Upper Extremity Use (SAUU) in Community-dwelling Stroke Survivors
To establish content validity for the Stages of Actual Upper Extremity Use (SAUU) scale. The SAUU is a novel assessment to classify stage of readiness for actual use of the upper extremity for individuals after chronic stroke. Actual use is defined as spontaneous use of the affected upper extremity in real-world environments. The SAUU is based on the Transtheoretical Model of Behavior Change (Prochaska, Redding,& Evers, 2015), and classifies an individual into one of five stages of health behaviour change specific for actual use.
