Halobetasol and tazarotene: Further defining the role of a unique fixed combination topical lotion in moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in a Hispanic population

Background: Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory condition that occurs worldwide. Few studies have examined the role of ethnicity, and there is little evidence available on the efficacy and safety of topical therapies for the treatment of psoriasis in Hispanic patients. The Investigator Global Assessment multiplied by body surface area (IGAxBSA) composite tool is a simple, effective, validated measure for assessing improvement in psoriasis severity. It correlates well with the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) and demonstrates sensitivity to changes from baseline in patients with both mild and moderately severe disease.
