Proteomics Links Ubiquitin Chain Topology Change to Transcription Factor Activation
Li et al. discovered that a chain topology change from K48 to K11 linkages on the transcription factor Met4 reduces competition between the K48 chain and the basal transcription complex for binding to the Met4 tandem UBD. These findings provided insight into the role of ubiquitin chain topologies in ubi quitin signaling.
