New medical college opens in South Georgia

The first four-year medical school in South Georgia is open for business. Gov. Brian Kemp helped cut the ribbon Tuesday at the new Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) campus in Moultrie, Ga. The mostly rural counties of South Georgia have long suffered from a shortage of physicians and other health-care providers.
