Palliative Care

There was a time when we were in the profession of patient care. Now, it may be that we are in the health care business. Perhaps those 2 constructs are similar or perhaps not. In the evolution of health care delivery, I was taught that in the beginning there were people: some of those people got sick (we call them patients); some people learn ways to help them (the various providers); and to make things more efficient, we created hospitals to have a common place and tools to take care of people.
