Authors: Bland M, Stevens A, Nellis P, Mueggenburg K, Yau T, Chen JC Abstract Interprofessional education is becoming a requirement for accreditation of most health profession programs, therefore it is necessary to share innovative experiences so all can learn from the successes and barriers of implementation. Discussion: Acute care physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology telehealth strategies can add value by mitigating COVID-19–related harm and influencing recovery, while not unnecessarily becoming additional disease vectors consuming personal protective equipment. COVID-19 is not only an aggressive respiratory illness similar to acute respiratory distress syndrome but also highly contagious and a risk for health care providers. Telehealth strategies allow therapists to intervene early, opening the possibility to maximize recovery and prevent harm or decompensation. Telehealth strategies c...

Conclusions The use of physical therapy and occupational therapy is much higher in Germans with spinal cord injury than in the general population and in people with similar neurological conditions. Further research should focus on the frequency of use and the types of interventions. Guidelines for lifelong care should include recommendations on physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Authors: Steinheider B, Shortridge A, Hoffmeister V, Randall K, Ciro C Abstract As interprofessional education (IPE) becomes more common in student training programs, reliable and valid scales are needed to measure students' perceptions of the experience. CONCLUSIONS: All selected papers were based on previous literature and not on the current Covid-19 pandemic. Main messages included: 1) early rehabilitation should be granted to inpatients with Covid-19; 2) people with restricted mobility due to quarantine or lockdown should receive exercise programs to reduce the risk of frailty, sarcopenia, cognitive decline and depression; 3) telerehabilitation may represent the first option for people at home.
