Physicians are often confronted with doubt in how to deal with a particular clinical situation or what is known about a specific condition. It is often unpractical, if not impossible, to comply with the requirements of a systematic review. A Critically Appraised Topic or CAT, a method of conducting an abbreviated systematic review, can be a good alternative.
