Are There Alternatives to Invasive Site Development for Dental Implants? Part II
This article discusses noninvasive alternatives to bone grafting. Part I of this topic discussed the use of short and narrow diameter implants. Part II discusses three additional alternatives: the use of tilted implants, the use of four or fewer tilted and axially-loaded implants to support a full-arch fixed-dental-prosthesis (FAFDP), and the use of zygomatic implants to restore the severely-atrophic edentulous maxillae lacking adequate bone for conventional treatment.
