Spaniol, Jun OkudaAbstractLithium amide [(Me3TACD)Li]2 derived from the NNNN macrocycle (Me3TACD)H ((Me3TACD)H = 1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane) reacted with DIBAL(H) to give the lithium hydridoaluminate [(Me3TACD·AlHiBu2)Li(THF)] (1-THF). With HBPin, the lithium hydridoborate [(Me3TACD·HBPin)Li] (2) was obtained. Both compounds have been characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The monomeric structure contains a five-coordinate lithium and does not show any interaction between the lithium center and the hydride.Graphical abstract
