People with a personality disorder may find that their beliefs and attitudes are different from those of most other people. Others may find their behaviour unusual, unexpected or perhaps offensive. In this paper, we discuss a case of a twenty-four-year-old young woman with avoidant personality disorder and subsequent depression, worry, lack of motivation, feelings of inadequacy, and non-assertive behaviour in her romantic relationship and professional career.
