Revolutionizing Radiology Education to Add Value —What’s Next?

Growing evidence suggests that competence develops best when radiologic concepts are seamlessly integrated longitudinally into the curriculum. Interdisciplinary experiences allow for deliberate thought and reasoning, which helps learners master skills and continue to grow as physicians. Despite this, most medical schools have incorporated relatively little radiology into the preclinical years and continue to offer block clinical rotations, with radiology required only for a minority.
