The Duration of Symptoms Does Not Impact Clinical Outcomes Following Lumbar Decompression Surgery

Conclusion. Symptom chronicity did not significantly affect postoperative clinical outcomes, reoperation rates, or patient satisfaction. Nonoperative treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis is often successful but may delay operative intervention.
