This by-proxy education is informal and occurs on the fringes of other rotations. It is an education based mostly on opinion and half-hearted attempts at comedy, the punch lines all too familiar to radiology educators. Nonetheless, for many students, including women who are vital to improving cognitive diversity in radiology, it can provide enough disinformation to ultimately exclude radiology as a career choice.
