How to Study for the MCAT, by a tutor and 525 scorer

It's chock full of content, and it requires you to be good at doing questions (which is not the same thing as knowing content). That's tough!In order to study for the MCAT, you need to act like a marathon runner, and like a coach of a runner.What do I mean? Well, you will need to put miles on the pavement (aka do questions and content review), first and foremost. You can't succeed on the MCAT without doing questions, just like you can't run a marathon without putting miles on the pavement. That's obvious but hard in practice.But you'll also need to act like a coach. You need to be reflective as you work, trying to analyze yourself and come up with plans to fix your issues just like a coach would. Make sure you come up with a plan, follow it, and then you're continually reflecting on what you're getting wrong, and why you're getting it wrong. If you're in this subreddit, you are likely working hard enough, but you're probably not reflecting deeply enough. If you just grind questions without reflection, you will not get the score you want, because you'll never address what you're actually having trouble with.
