Thread Starter Graduate entry medicine/ Studying medicine in Europe Follow 34 minutes ago 34m ago Not all medical schools emphasise GCSEs that heavily in the admissions process (e.g. Cambridge doesn't put that much weight on them, as I understand). You can choose a set of medical schools to apply to such that you avoid the GCSE heavy ones to maximise your chances. Of course there are no guarantees (and you'll still need to get appropriate predicted grades in your A-levels and then achieve those) but GCSEs aren't the be all and end all for medicine necessarily. GEM is extremely competitive compared to undergraduate entry medicine - you should consider it a last resort, realistically. I don't know about studying medicine in Europe, but Brexit may complicate that by the time you would be graduating and wanting to apply to foundation posts (unless you stayed in Europe).
