Dementia in Indian Country

Blog post from the Indian Health Service (IHS) on dementia. Dementia incidence is high among Native American and Alaska Native people. Tools to evaluate and test for dementia were not developed for tribal populations. Because the average life expectancy used to be much shorter, dementia is a relatively new problem that tribes may not have the language or understanding to describe.
