Speech Prosody And Naturalness: Potential Treatment Outcome Measures For Speakers With Parkinson ’s Disease

To determine the effects of Parkinson ’s disease (PD) on perceptual and acoustic correlates of speech naturalness specifically in relation to speech prosody given the potential significance of speech naturalness to functional and social rehabilitation outcomes. A secondary goal of this research is to examine the effects of different s peaking contexts (e.g., reading vs. conversation) on these correlates.
