Antidepressants and extrapyramidal symptoms
The newer non ‐tricyclic antidepressants have occasionally been associated with development of extrapyramidal symptoms (EPSs). However, no large‐scale epidemiological or observational studies have examined this reported association. Recognizing the need to evaluate further the association between antidepressa nt use and extrapyramidal reactions in clinical practice settings, investigators conducted a pharmacoepidemiological study in a large cohort.
