Priority Ambulance Deploys Ambulances, Personnel to Assist with Response to Hurricane Florence

More than 25 ambulances staffed with emergency personnel from Priority Ambulance’s Southeast Division operations have been activated at the request of FEMA for Hurricane Florence. Ten ambulances and 20 team members have been deployed and are currently stationed in South Carolina and North Carolina to assist in the evacuations in advance of Hurricane Florence, and 16 additional ambulances are on standby ready to travel and immediately assist in emergency response efforts following the hurricane, including 10 Medshore ambulances on standby stationed at home in South Carolina. “Our disaster response teams are equipped, experienced and prepared to assist the citizens and emergency medical teams in the states affected by this enormous, life-threatening storm,” said Priority Ambulance CEO Bryan Gibson. “We will assist with evacuations of patients ahead of the hurricane from local hospitals, nursing homes and other medical facilities, and remain in the area to the support disaster relief efforts in these communities following the storm.” Priority Ambulance’s Georgia, Tennessee and New York strike teams include ten ambulances and 20 EMS personnel are currently stationed at holding areas in North Carolina and South Carolina.
