Boron triel bonding: a weak electrostatic interaction lacking electron-density descriptors

We report accurate high-resolution X-ray diffraction analysis of three single crystals: 1,4-dinitrobenzene, a co-crystal ofcis-tartaric acid and bis-pyridineN-oxide and pyridine-4-boronic acid hydrochloride and compare the electron density characteristics of the π-hole interactions present in the solids.
