State awards permits to 3 grower/processors in southwestern Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Tuesday awarded three new medical marijuana grower/processing licenses in the Pittsburgh region. The permits, among 13 that were announced, included Maitri Genetics LLC, PennAlt Organics and Hanging Gardens LLC in the southwestern region. Maitri Genetics and Hanging Gardens were the two picked among the applications in the southwestern region, while PennAlt Organics was the highest-scoring am ong the entire state.
