Jun 6, Grace Kent: Today in the History of Psychology (6th June 1875)

Grace Kent was born. A pioneer within the field of clinical assessment, Kent trained and worked alongside some of the most influential figures in the history of psychology, including Hugo M ünsterberg and James McKeen Cattell. While working as a psychologist at the Kings Park State Hospital in New York, Kent developed the Kent-Rosanoff Association Test; famous for being the first test of its kind to incorporate both standardized word association procedures and an 'objective' scoring system.
