Aratana sends fourth drug for FDA approval

After landing three approvals from the Food and Drug Administration in 2016, Aratana Therapeutics Inc. is hunting down its fourth. The Leawood-based animal health company seeks a label expansion of its first product to go to market, Nocita, a postoperative pain treatment for dogs. Aratana (Nasdaq: PETX) wants the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine to approve the treatment for use in cats after a declawing procedure.
