US WorldMeds gets FDA approval for new drug to treat opioid withdrawal

US WorldMeds LLC has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a drug  that helps lessen the impact of opioid withdrawal. The drug, lofexidine, was approved under priority review, which the FDA grants for medications that would provide significant improvements in the safety or effectiveness of the treatment, diagnosis or prevention of serious conditions.
