New CDC director asks for pay cut from $375k
The new director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is taking a pay cut to better align himself with his predecessors.
The CDC will cut Dr. Robert Redfield's $375,000 salary an unknown amount following complaints and media reports that he was being paid much more than the $197,300 salary given to his predecessor, Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald, and the $219,700 for Dr. Thomas R. Frieden before her, according to the New Yor k Times.
