The Effect of Mentoring Relationships on Interest in Vascular Surgery and Match Rank among Integrated Vascular Surgery Residents

Mentoring relationships are encouraged for medical students interested in surgical specialties. Research on mentoring in other specialties indicates that while having a mentor does not show benefit, effective mentoring influences success in the residency match. We investigated the role of medical school mentoring relationships of integrated Vascular Surgery residents.
