Physiological uptake of 18F-FDG in the vertebral bone marrow in healthy adults on PET/CT imaging.

Conclusion FDG uptake showed a tendency to increase first then decrease from thoracic to sacral vertebrae while the tendency was not obvious in cervical vertebrae. In addition, the glycolytic metabolism of all the four regions decreased with advancing age.
