Authors: Marinescu I, Vasiliu O, Vasile D Abstract An intensively researched and yet poorly understood phenomenon, both at clinical and neurobiological level, is the determinism of treatment-resistant depression. Even more controversial are the stages of approaching therapeutically this pathology because there are no evidence-based recommendations stating that a pharmacological agent is superior to another, on medium and long-term. CONCLUSIONS: The investigation confirmed the connection between the quality of life, self-stigma, coping strategies, and the severity of the illness, in outpatients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders, depressive, and neurotic spectrum disorders. A further longitudinal study would be useful to determine the causative relationships of these variables. PMID: 30531709 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

CONCLUSION: Depressive symptoms in primary care subjects not consulting for their mood are associated with higher morning plasma cortisol, but not urinary cortisol or its metabolites. These observations suggest that systemic hypercortisolism and related metabolic disorders are not observed in mild/initial states of depressive disorders. This study aimed to investigate the effects of normal lymph fluid on sepsis complicated with pulmonary injury. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Wistar rats were prepared for sepsis complicated with acute pulmonary model via cecal ligation and puncture, and received normal lymph fluid injection 60 min later. Artery blood-gas index, wet/dry weight (W/D) ratio of lung, Myeloperoxidase (MPO) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of lung tissues were measured, along with protein content and cell count in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). Real-time PCR (RT-PCR) and Western blot were employed to measure expression of nuclear facto...
