Synthesis of ferrocene indanone derivatives via trinuclear N-heterocyclic carbene palladium(II)-catalyzed cyclocarbonylation of o-bromoarylferrocene

Under a CO atmosphere, using o-bromoarylferrocene as substrate, this reaction proceeded smoothly to give the desired products in moderate to excellent yields within hours. Graphical abstract
