According to a new American Medical Association (AMA) report, Tennessee doctors support more than 175,000 jobs and generate more than $29 billion in economic activity. The report finds that each of the state's 14,000 physicians support 12.5 jobs, on average, with each physician generating $2.1 million for the state's economy.
