A lifeline for children's health plan?

Funding for a national children's health insurance program could be restored. House Republicans on Tuesday revealed a plan to extend federal funding for the national Children's Health Insurance Program, or CHIP, for six years. The House could vote as soon as Thursday on the funding as part of a budget bill to delay a government shutdown, The Washington Examiner reports.
