True, but you're going to encounter people who won't be nice and friendly and will make your life difficult on purpose. Once again, this is why I suggest keep nagging at your supervisors for help.
I don't have any experience of care homes so maybe I'll leave this to somebody who does, but would you say your voluntary work is organised or you've just been put in without being given an idea of what you're supposed...
