BMC “Research in Progress” photo competition – 10 days to go

We’ve received some fantastic entries so far but it’s not too late if you’re yet to enter your photos. Anyone interested in research and photography can enter from anywhere in the world. The overall winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of £250 (~ €300/$325), while the runner-up will receive £100 (~€125/$150). Winning images will also be promoted on the BMC website and our promotional materials. We are looking for inspiring photographs that reflect innovation, curiosity and integrity in the following categories relating to research:         People at work         Close-ups of equipment         Plants and animals         Microscopy Inspiration In need of a little inspiration before you get snapping? Then look no further than the recently announced winners of our BMC Ecology image competition. We’ve also spoken to the overall winner on how they captured the winning image of a group of young giant South American turtles. Overall winner – Giant South American turtles (Podocnemis expansa) taken by Ana Carolina Lima of the University of Aveiro, Portugal.
