‘ Engage for Health ’ : A Program in a Box for Your Community

Are you thinking of offering a health program and are not sure where to start? If you answered yes to either of these questions then this webinar is for you! Presenters will share information on the NNLM MAR funded project that piloted ‘Engage for Health’, a patient empowerment program that libraries and community/faith based organizations can offer to their community members. Learn about the history of the ‘Engage for Health’ program which focuses on teaching community members how to improve communication with their health care providers. This innovative program involves partnerships with The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), the Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) , the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, National Evaluation Office (NNLM NEO) and The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). 16 libraries across the state of PA were trained on NNLM resources, evaluation techniques and assisted in the creation of an evaluation tool specifically designed for the ‘Engage for Health’ program.
