In the early part of his career, it was typical for Dr. John Notaro to identify a patient with an abdominal aneurysm or lung cancer only after symptoms had begun.
But the use of data analytics and electronic medical records introduced new methods to earlier identify patients at risk of developing significant health conditions. That has led to early detection, fewer emergency situations and reduced costs for treatment.
