Physiological antecedents and ward clinician responses before medical emergency team activation.

CONCLUSIONS: Patients commonly and repeatedly breached objectively measured UCR criteria in the 24 hours preceding MET activation, providing numerous opportunities for clinicians to recognise and respond to early clinical deterioration.
