Conservative treatment of placenta previa accreta with cervical isthmic opposition suturing followed by bilateral internal iliac artery ligation

Between April 1, 2015 and May 31, 2016, the present prospective study enrolled patients attending El-Shatby hospital, Egypt with placenta previa centralis and accreta, diagnosed by ultrasonography. Eligible patients were aged 18 –45 years, wished to maintain fertility, and had a history of between one and four cesarean deliveries. Patients were excluded if they presented with placenta percreta, were hemodynamically unstable, or if there was poor availability of blood products at the time of presentation.
