Vascular Surgery: An Essential Hospital Resource in Modern Health Care

Vascular surgeons are consulted by other surgical specialties for intraoperative vascular exposure, reconstruction, or hemorrhage control. These requests occur both electively and emergently. We analyzed the value of vascular surgery operative services as a resource to other surgical specialties at our institution.
