Estimates memorandum: Department of Health 2015-16 supplementary supply estimate

House of Commons Health Select Committee - The supplementary estimates are presented by HM Treasury to the House of Commons to seek parliamentary approval for voted expenditure by government departments resources, capital and cash, both for existing services and for any necessary new services. The supplementary estimates for the Department of Health estimated that the net deficit across all NHS trusts and foundation trusts would be managed to £1.8bn. This would score as a pressure against the department's expenditure limits and would therefore require offsetting mitigations to ensure that financial balance is achieved. This memorandum summarises these planned offsetting mitigations. Memorandum Supplementary estimates Select committee publications
