"After winning first place at the annual Bear Parade in #Comanesti, Romania, Dumitru Toloaca's troupe celebrated in the streets. While clad in bearskins, they sang, they danced, and they toasted with homemade palinka liquor. And the photographer @dianazeynebalhindawi captured it all. For @dianazeynebalhindawi, it was a familiar scene. She spent the first 8 years of her childhood in Romania's Trotus Valley and recalled raucous packs of people wearing bearskins emerging each holiday season, ostensibly to chase away bad spirits from the previous year.
