Avish Parashar is an energetic and humorous speaker who draws from more than fifteen years of experience performing, directing, and teaching improv comedy. He has delivered unique and refreshing workplace performances to a wide range of audiences, including the Federal Reserve, the Society for Human Resources Management, and Lockheed Martin. Blending together anecdotes, comedy, and audience interaction, Mr. Parashar keeps audiences engaged while imparting a key lesson: planning is important, but the ability to improvise is essential. No matter how well we plan, things can go wrong, surprises may arise, and the universe will occasionally throw us a curveball. Success is directly related to how one responds to these challenges. By the end of Avish’s presentation, participants will have gained key tools for all that life throws at them. Mr. Parashar created, managed, and directed Polywumpus Improv Comedy from 1996-2002, and he currently performs, teaches, and directs improv with The Full Circle Theater Company in Richmond, Virginia. For more information go to http://www.ddmseries.od.nih.gov/ Air date: 12/3/2015 11:00:00...
