European Society of Radiotherapy and oncology (ESTRO) strategy 2024 –2026: Growth and diversification in a rapidly changing world
In 2019, the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) published its 2030 Vision summarised as “Radiation Oncology, Optimal Health, For All, Together” to be achieved through the four pillars of (i) translating research into practice; (ii) strengthening the profession; (iii) strengthening the Society, and (iv) strengthening partnerships [1]. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic, beyond its immed iate and devastating human effects, presented profound challenges to healthcare, and to scientific societies supporting healthcare professionals, their communities and patients.
